nope, but looking at it from the direction from the 2 tapped holes (which are on the same pitch as the dash surround) it looks like something from the dash area

    looks like the chime box to me that goes off when you leave your keys in etc ;)

    Yep its the chime box, its attached to the bracket that holds the top of the dash in position

    oops..have i left a part off in my many dismantle/mantle's (??) of the dash lately in looking at the alarm or gauges, theres only one way to find out....FIGHT!!!!

    Seriously though, just been to the car, and there is no beep when i remove the key with the lights on, so it must be that, how i forgot such a big part i don't know. A washer or a screw..maybe, but this thing...

     

    Anyway, thanks for your help it was spot on.
