The last two links in the first post are "bososuku" I suggest you look into it before criticizing as it's very much a major part of japanese car culture. The owners don't take themselves seriously so I don't think you should either ;)

 

As for the ones Funky Si found, I feel he has been and raided "barryboys" shed of the week forum ;)

mate, the last thing i want to do is insult someone elses culture - I've just never seen cars like it befor, and you gotta admit that they are pretty ugly - even if the owners are not taking themselves seriously, they are going to get people passing judgement or commenting on what they look like just because the cars are so "out there"

 

So what does Bososuku mean anyway?

I've seen Akira many times, and didn't make the connection. :headvswal

 

But those cars do look funny - i suppose that some of the stuff that i do may seem wierd or funny to other cultures too.

 

I love the picture of the guys with their 50s rocker hairstyles etc - it looks a bit like an elvis convention or something.
