he was out cold for a while and was stretchered to hospital, but he came around and they released him within the hour so werent anything major, plus I spoke to his instructor and he is back to training :)

referee as me to turn around.. its part of the rules.. maybe show respect.. not entirely sure, but we have to do if there is a low blow, knockout, or for whatever the reason maybe if ref asks.

Very nice timing there:). A very good friend of mine used to be 3 times world champion heavy weight fighter. His name is tony Sewell, along with his brother Howard who was also the taekwondo breaking champion. During the 80s they were a dominant factor on the world circuit. We started training as kids together over 30 years ago. Maybe a little before your time i dont know, but your teacher would have heard of them. http://www.tonysewell.co.uk/

I run a combat school in the same complex as his at the moment. But like i said nice technique and timing.

to be honest, not all venues have wooden floors, but the scottish is usually a small venue so it is. The british, welsh and english champs usually have eith a rubbery surfact or some kind of matting. But we do train on wooden floors I guess?

yeah, all our equipment is padded, and foam dipped, and my opponents instructor said that the force of my kick wasn't excessive as I didnt follow thru, I pulled it back after contact, but the force of the floor is what gave him a headache for a few day, and imagine he didnt have that headgear on?!

remind me never to upset you lol
