Well..............

Stuff the economy and a cheap run around.lol.

Went to the car auctions today and got...........

2.5 V6.......It shifts.......

Not as fast as the zed but chirst it goes. Full leather a/c cd player electric seats......alot of goodies inside, popped the bonnet now im home and it also has a k and n airfilter. When the car is at around 3000rpm then it sounds like a cougar, just growls at you.

Got 50quid back on my insurance also so im happy.

The car has a few nigly bits, when melting my foot to the floor it can stutter alot, think the leads could be dirty what you think? Apart from that thats the only thing wrong with the performance.

Inside theres a few sensor faults but everything works perfect.

Now the good bit............whos going to have a guess at how much it cost me. Has 123k on the clock with 9 stamps in the service book.

Im happy with my purchase, got a nice powerful car that isnt the best of lookers but its nice for a young guy like myself. So ive now cheered up abit that ive got some wheels again.

With how happy you are its gonna be something stupid like £200

Either way mate, Its good that you are back on the road - with a smile on your face.

I'm glad that your glad.

£420

The V6s in them are pretty strong, but they suffer from niggly electrics sometimes. Not a bad runaround though craig, nice one :D

£1:rofl: would have thought £800-£1000. i too have had

a new car will post later

A bird at work has one of these, quite a nice car.

Can get them on autotrader for around £800, so from an auction

probably about £475.

I never understand you. You made a point of going on about not being able to afford a DD, so you go out and buy a V6 Cougar!?! LOL

You wouldn't pay the little extra to have someone experienced rebuild your car, instead you got a clueless monkey to do it and look what happened! Your priorities are all to pot! LOL

I like the Cougars actually. Never understood why, but I'd drive one. :)

:p

Well the car was 540 and with fees on top came out at 709.50.

So overall im quite happy with getting it at that price.

Only thing is......the hesitation it has at low revs, i am thinking cleaning the spark plugs may help this out, ive put injector cleaner in to try see if that helps. Will need a service to help aswell possibly. But i most certainly think i will get my money back on this car.

Overall tho the car is very nice inside, good sound system comfy seats, electrics are all over the shots with sensor lights coming on tho.lol!!

As for Si.........i was at that auction thinking that p***k done me over and ive got to suffer now on a little banger that im very unhappy about. So i seen this come through, gave it a good check over and thought i would like that, still got some nice power and i will be happy driving it, so i splashed out and enjoyed myself.

As for not paying extra for somebody good to work on my car......i was informed how he was capable of doing it so i was conned into having him work on it!!

LEts not go off topic folks.lol!!

Anyways.......can somebody help me with the juddering problem below 2.5krpm?

Want to get this sorted as its some machine otherwise, very ncie inside with the full leather and air con i really like it, would have been good if it didnt look like a mondeo coupe tho.lol!

:headvswal Now not only do you have a broke Z but a daily runner that aint running right......I'm gonna start calling you Pike......."stupid boy"

glad you got something your happy with just hope you dont have to divert to much of you funds away from the Z to fix it!

I had a similar juddering on a vectra v6 years ago, turned out to be

one of the sensors, cost me about £250 iirc.

Well i bought it at the auctio, chance you take.

But it is running put it that way mate!!!!! alot better than before.

But its a small fuss thats wrong with it which im happy to get fixed, i think if i clean my plugs etc it should be A OK!! So not a big problem:D!

There wont be any funds diverted the cougar will recive a small amount on possibly a winter check in the next month and thats it. Yas a full years MOT on it and 6months road tax
