One of the first trips i want to arrange for next year is an annual trip to the nurburgring :)

 

A load of us did this a few years ago and i can honestly say it was one of the best trips i have ever been on :)

 

Just looking to gauge numbers and dates at the moment and IF we get enough people that want to take this up i will go into it in more details and get prices etc.

I think many people are up for this, and can only assume that KIRBZ is busy with other things and will post here some dates for people to ponder. I am up for this, just need the right set of dates. (On hols, and work shift)

Hi Bud, I remember mentioned earlier in the thread that other cars were welcome, so bring it on, hopefully my mates will be coming in an E55 Amg merc and a 16v Manta!! and a 350 is certainly a zed!!

 

But no one seem`s interested at the moment, looks like its just us??

Mega, well I'm defo up for it. Any week in June/July is good for me.

My deployment dates have changed slightly so now I cant do any date in July but June is good for me.

What ever one you have serviced the most in my opinion mate, no im not being funny in that way, this is a long long trip :) My best advice would be to get Series 2 PTU as well, that is a well must in my opinion!

No bud, I totally agree! the vert has the series 2 ptu and feels so much more reliable somehow, and i am leaning toward the vert at the moment as it more of a road trip than a race for me, lid down in the black forest in the middle of July!!! bring it on!! cant wait

Kirbz has just posted a `2010 events calendar` up, and its says the Nurburgring trip is 5th July!!!!!!

As you may know, Kirbz has had to stand down as NEO and I have stepped in to fill the vacancy on a temporary basis.

 

I guess some of you may be a bit concerned that this trip may not proceed However providing we can get definitive numbers of participants, favoured duration, accommodation arrangements etc; there's no reason it still can't go ahead.

 

I do have a few personal commitments this weekend, so I may not be online as much as usual. But hopefully we can all pull this one together.

i will hopefully still have input into this so i havnt gone away totally and i will 99% still be going with several others :)

 

Do date costings are looking like this:

 

This is based on 2 people

 

Ferry crossing from hull to rotterdam - £300

Hotel in Amsterdam - £40

Hotel in Nurberg - £60

Hotel in Brugge - £60

 

Obviously budget a decent amount for fuel and beer/food and this is based on 5 nights

 

Night 1 on ferry

Night 2 in amsterdam

Night 3 in nurberg

Night 4 in brugge

Night 5 on ferry

 

So i was thinking of going monday until friday to keep the costs down a little and was thinking of the 5th until the 9th of july or the week after?

 

Also i am waiting on P&O to get back to me to see if they can sort a group discount on the ferry crossing?
