speedo goin nuts

today whilst stood still on idle my speedo went up to 100mph wobbled a bit and then went back down, if i pressed the horn it did it again and a bong noise came from inside the car as it did it what the hell is this lol

    These speedo are plagued with trouble. I resoldered mine and all was good until yesturday when the speedo paused for a while then operated again. Never heard of that problem you have with the horn.

    The Bong is the speed chime (assuming it's an import?!). Have you got a speedo convertor fitted? Could be a dodgy connection on that...

    it is an import, and yeah i think its got a speedo convertor.

    where are those fitted ill have a look at the connections, thanks.
