I have a fuji 5mp camera and Im useless with it

Everytime I take a photo of the car it makes the panels towards the rear of the photo look off colour (the door in this one) what am I doing wrong?

looks fine to me, You might want to try getting hold of a DSLR though, they take stunning photos, get a Cannon EOS 3xx (anything really in the 300 range) they pretty much do all the work for you and still look very professional.

Also, as i take it your using a digital camera, have you tried changing the lighting on it to landscape, i find on the non SLR camera's this tends to bring out the color better.

Maybe it is the paint itself

I'm fairly handy with a camera but cant think of any reason why it would do that?

The paintwork is bang on to the eye but just looks odd on photo's, perhaps its the camera as its knocking on in years.

I wish I had a car as nice as yours, my SLR would take awesome pictures of that :(

Looks ok to me, just remeber a camara takes a photo of what it sees, our Eyes on the other hand have out brain to work out and correct things like whitebalance etc.

As for the recomended camara of the EOS 300. I have a EOS400 and love it. check out my pics at http://www.flickr.com/photos/28000635@N02/

yeah am happy with that shot. have been learning loads with my camara. just need some nice cars to shoot ;) as that may stop me being asked to leave MOD land by two land rover loads of armed squaddies :D

It was a Recommendation of the EOS 300 range, and yes they are really nice photos you have there, amazing cameras tbh.

This exif data on that photo says it was taken with a Nokia 95 its probably just the limited dynamic range showing up on that camera phone.

Hey Mat, decided to take a break from recording and sat down to have a proper look through your Flickr album that I'd started to go through before when we last spoke. I cannot stress this enough...I LOVE your experimentation with light techniques! Genuinely bowled over by some of the shots chap...so much so it's giving me a LOT of food for thought regarding the artwork for the next album and other forthcoming releases. It's a way off yet but, it's something you'd be interested in, I'd love to talk to you more about the possibility of a collaboration. With my background in art, photography and music I enjoy blurring the accepted boundaries between them...e.g. my original idea for the launch of our first album was to curate an art exhibition of video art shot by up and coming Birmingham artists, loosely based on tracks from the album. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and people dropping out, it had to be shelved...but it's something I'd like to pursue in the future...and the idea of a cross-over music/art exhibition that features live performance, audio and an exhibition of photographs in a well-known art space (such as the ultra hip Custard Factory Gallery in Birmingham) keeps banging round my head after seeing your work. Honestly mate, some of your photos are inspirational and I'd genuinely like to discuss it further with you sometime if it's an idea that might float your boat! :)

Apologies to Bigman for going WAY off topic! ;)

Dang I really need to figure out how to use my camera. Just one Q, have you got a high res pic of the blue rx8 as I really want it as my background? :nana2:

Ignore previous post, got it. :D

NP Dude. feel free to use any of the pics as a background. theres an Audi R8 in there somewhere too :)
