Thought it would be an interesting thread to see what all us ZED owners do for a job? and describe what you have to do day to day.

I will start...

I own a dot com company (im sure that a few of you use my sites as we look after millions of people in the uk), its very varied day to day. Some days you have mountains of problems to deal with ranging from Staff, Hackers, and literally thousands of moaning people or techical problems. To other days where you can be creative coming up with new ideas and applications and get a great sence of achievement. I do love what I do but sometimes things move a bit slowly for my liking. :duffer:

On the plus side I have one of the guys in the office building me a nice site so I can post up all my progress and pictures on my 300zx.

Not a chance! The guys at my work who are "homer simpson's" make around £80k a year and sit on their rear ends all day!

Myself, I have worked in the rail industry for over twenty years now and have loved all of it. I started off installing signalling systems (S&T) but I'm now working on a private railway test track for Serco, we can test any form of rail based equipment from special hand based kit right up to entire train fleets (we commisioned the entire Pendolino tilting fleet for Virgin).

Day to day - I'm currently office bound (due to my injured foot) so I'm in the control room, controlling anything that moves on, and access to, the track. When I'm not stuck in here I'll drive trains for testing purposes :D This really is playing with big boys toys!

Ah yes, hello mate!

I am a QS, formely for a main contractor, but was made redundant :(... had a nice pay-off though. Just this morning been accepted to manage the finances of a holding company. Who said redundancy was a bad thing?!

Robquilter - my girlfriend lives down the road from PCM's owner... I think he could do with a bigger house...(Joking)

I do sweet FA!

Was made redundant in April, then AGAIN in July and not found work since :o(

Andone fancy joining me in a Bank Job? ;)

In the British Army as an air door gunner on the Lynx helicopter. Get to fly around Europe every day as I am based in Germany. When fighting bad guys we bolt a machine gun to the side of it and give them the good news, full metal jacket style.

Pretty good job I reckon as I'm in Morocco at the moment on exercise doing the good thing and did Kenya earlier in the year. On the flip side tho off to nasty places in January.

Work at FedEx in a call centre speaking to pissed off customers who's parcels have not turned up.... lucky me :D.

That will all come to an end at the begining of March as i have applied for a Working Traveling visa and im shooting over to the Land down Under and am going to find work over there.

Then ill see what happens from there.........

Here is the start of the site that someone in the office has been putting together for me. She is going to do a load of 3d stuff as well so you can easily see the upgrades on a 3d model. Should be cool when done.

Have a look under mechanicals for my big bopper engine thats being built as we speak!

I have bought a load of other stuff I need to put on there as well! anyhows

yes should be a decent zed when finnished, loads of purchasing not on there yet either. I plan to do the whole car no expense spared. Wait till the interior and audio get done lol.

Up until a year ago, I was a Contract Manager for a Large National Security Company.

I am now a Police CCTV Control room Supervisor for a Joint Military/Civil Police Station, covering the Largest Army Garrison in Europe and the local town. I have lost count of how many drink drivers I've had arrested. I love it, it's the best most exciting job i have had since leaving the Army. it's like getting paid to watch ROAD WARS.
