Its an led set up for my front indicators. because my side lights and indicators are in that little slit, with normal bulbs you cannot see them :)

Oh roite! Look forward to seeing them fitted then!

I still need to figure out how to switch my UK sidelights/indicators to the side position for when you get the fog ducts finished!

The opening aperture is the important measurement, that the light will shine through, pm your address and i will send this one for you to try for size behind the glass/perspex.

I take it the 165mm aperture is what the board will sit on?

You will be able to see the depth also

Yeah but i will bond it onto the rear cover and the depth will be no problem at all. the is about 1/2 of an inch to play with

I wanted to make the hole in the bumper bigger by about 1 inch to let as much light out as possible

Will pm you now

I dont think you need to make it any bigger, less is more, stick a 9v battery on the leds when you get them and hold it behind the cover to get the idea, they will be much brighter than you think.

I assume your are talking about the bumper in your sig, or have you changed it

Cheers

Graham

Yeah its the same bumper :) They will not look any bigger from the out side, Its where the lense screws to, it has a really large return that can be cut back to make the indicator bigger.

can you see what i am on about??

9v Batt? which ones are these? Will it not work of a car batt ??

  • Author

Yes it will work off a car battery, just assumed it was off the car. 9v pp3 little squarish one

Do you want me to put some 501 bulb caps on the ends of the wires to plug into your existing loom to try?

Bear in mind the indicator wont flash at the correct speed with out putting the 12v resistor in across the live and ground, but you will get the idea. I have the resistors, i was going to mount them on the rear of the board to make wiring easier for you

So is this just a sample then? If so then dont worry about connectors etc.

The bumper is off the car, im just getting confused lol!!!
