Ok, I kow very little about the black things on each corner, my Laguna needs new tyres, as standard it takes 225 45 17, I have been offered some 235 45 17 tyres at a very good price, can these be fitted? Am I right in saying the only difference is they are 10mm wider, and the profile wil be slightly out because of this? all advice gratefully received :duffer:

i have 7.5 j alloys and i have fitted 235/45/17 on them. if that helps.

I think your understanding is fine mate and that size will be ok :)
