Ok guys looking for some advice, just fitted an after market boost gauge today which reads in Bar. Started the car and it goes into the minus but vibrates or flicks up and down slightly only between 2 lines at idle, but i thought nothing of it took the car out for a blast. With the pedal to the floor the absolute max boost i get is 0.5bar which i think is about 7psi? Stock should be 9psi? Or is this normal?

Thanks in Advance.

I dont think its had a boost controller before, but i cant be 100%. Could leaks be a cause also? Ill have to do an ecu check this week.

its dead easy to do, check for unplugged plugs at the side of the plenum to see if the stock boost solonoids are plugged in? if they are then its probably your det sensor thats faulty which will show up code 34

other than that ill have to wait till tomorrow got work in 30mins :(

no thats not it buddy, the boost solonoid plugs are about half way on the plenum on the sides, cant think that that plug is?? i'm sure someone will recognise it ;)

That's for the brake master cylinder...I can't remember exactly why it needs to be connected, but it should connect to the loom somewhere around there!

that thing by the brakes is something seperate,

check the solenoids are conected, side of each engine, near the front.

then do a ECU diag check, see if any errors

Ok i had another look and found the solenoid plugs i beileve 1 by each throttle body they looked fine and were plugged in. I then did an ECU test and it came up code 55, anymore ideas?

boost leak? try doing a leak test to see if you can hear anything

also its possible that the gauge is rubbish and is just reading a little low :)
