did a compression test today.

i think all is well

all drivers side was 12bar- 176psi

all passanger side was 11bar-160psi

i think my timing belt is out as the cas is adjusted to nearly the end of its travel.

i would hope that after changing the belt they might level out? as one bank would be running more overlap hence a lower compression. make sense?

if the head gasket had failed i would expect either one or two cylinders to drop

im trying to make sure the engine is 100% before i tune it.

im also visiting zedworld next saturday so i am trying to do as much work as i can so that less of his time is wasted trying to pin down my running faults, the main one being its running very rich which costs a fortune in petrol and is not giving great performance. idle is lumpy too
