I was out for a pleasant drive when suddenly I heard an almighty crashing sound and vibration from under the car! My thoughts were that I'd blown something, I walked back along the road to find this...

 

 

Which had caused this...

 

 

If anyone has a 265/30/19 kicking around, please let me know. There is also mis-shaping to the rim which I know the tyre places will paint a picture of doom with.

Alternatively, if you have a different profile tyre/width in a pair, I would also consider these too. They are for my rears so theres plenty of clearance.

 

Finally is about my tyre valve, are these specialised ones or will local garages bleat about them? I could do with finding a key as well.

That looks like a horn thats fallen off. Is it yours perhaps?

 

You will need the little extender gizmo to screw into the valve once you unscrew that little cap - Using the points of a par of her nail sissors might do it to get the cap off. Might also stuff the sissors!

 

Mate had to buy one from a wheel place for BBS and they are expensive for what they are.

Take all 300ZX's off the road - they're obviously dangerous. That's what they did with the Concorde isn't it. A bit falls off one plane so they take the other one out of service.

Thanks Dan, I've now bought some 275/35/19 Dunlops to see me through, hopefully I can knock the dent out of the rim :(

Well, here's the latest. The rim had cracked where the impact was, it's in for welding:mad:

good old german horn ei?? so heavy and robust that itl never break, just fall off and smash your wheels though!! lol
