Airbox

I just installed an induction kit on my car and i noticed after the paper filter in the lower part of the box you have the pipe leading to the MAF sensor and another 2 pipes 1 leading right 1 leading left under the headlights are these part of the AIV system?

Also side note the airbox was a pain getting out lol.

the airbox is an absolute twat to get out lol. They aren't part of the AIV system as far as I know, just channeling air to the air box. I took them side pipes out. Someone will probably correct me now though...

Those pipes chanel the air into the stock air box.

Leaving them in place does no harm - they may even help to direct cooler air into the area left by the 'box; to be sucked in by your new indiction kit!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Sorry for late reply was in work, yeah i realised that after looking at the airbox again. This leads me to think is it really that bad it looks like a pretty well designed system. And tbh the induction kit (im running dual mushrooms btw) wasnt that impressive or does it come alive once you have upped the boost?

iirc the pipes don't do anything on a TT but are used in an N/A. I've taken mine off and not had a problem.
