Cam belt on import

Dear All

I am new to the world of 300zx's, so new I have not even picked up my car, although this should happen this weekend. The car is 95 import non turbo with 19kmiles (31km) on the clock. The present owner has not had the belt replaced so I am fearing that the belt maybe very old, hence it needs replacing. However when asking for a quote I was told that it was not possible as the uk engine numbers do not tie up the Jap ones so it was not possible to select the correct belt. From what I can see from the internet there is only one belt, however I am new and know nothing so I am hoping someone could put me right?

Also anyone know a good place in Dorset/Poole where I could get it done?

Many thanks

Neil

Nissan recommends changing them every 60k miles. Your one probably doesn't need changing. However, if you're not confidant in the belt then get it changed. As mentioned, Mike at MJP will be able to help you with the parts.

Its every 6 YEARS or 60k miles so there is a good chance it does need changing !! :nono:
