Thought I'd update as I have completed a few little bits and pieces. Any views, advice, questions welcome.

Throttle cable bracket cut to follow curve of plenum bolt hole, then chromed.

Idea here is to expose more of the gulley in the middle when viewed from front. Throttle cable adjuster refurbed satin black. All stainless cap bolts. Fuel rail pipe replace with stainless braided hoses and red anodised clamps. All injecter locator bolts replaced with stainless cap bolts. Throttle cover bolt hole lug ground off from front right hand side of throttle cable guard.

Fuel Damper painted and lacquered EH3 red Stainless hose replacement with anodised finishers. Coil packs repainted satin black, new stainless cap bolts, coil pack brackets chromed (Slick Pete), stainless button top bolts. Boost hoses replaced with Viper Performance silicon and brass T pieces. Balance bar sanded down and polished, throttle cable guide bracket ground off and smoothed over and chromed (Slick Pete).

Fuel Pressure Regulator replaced with Aeromotive style adjustable regulator and relocated to inner wing. Idea here was to de-clutter the polished plenum. Fuel filter replaced with Sytec Hi-Flow race filter. Speedflow red anodised in line cut off valve fitted using -6 JIC compression fittings, Stainless braided hose fitted. All red silicone replaced with Viper Performance heavy duty silicone.

Mission accomplished - Uncluttered plenum revealing the polished central valley. Throttle cover bolt holder lugs ground off. Also de-cluttered by re-routing new injector connector and Coil packs wiring under the plenum.

Spal PWM fan controler installed to run and monitor new Zirgo electric fan. Brake servo vacuum hose re-routed and replaced with Viper Performance heavy duty re-enforced silicon piping. Sytec brass fittings installed.

Front View.

Fan bolted straight onto Koyo rad. Full Unortadox underdrive pulley set.

Full 120k cam belt service thanks to Silverbullet at very reasonable cost.

Carbon slam panels fitted and engine bay Tcut back to original paint where possible. Series 2 PTU and temp sender wires all hidden.

And finally..... slight angle!!

Next job is to tidy up wires next to fuse box and fit some nice coilovers with pillow ball top mounts to replace tired looking OEM ones.

And that is basically why I didn't go out very much for the first 3 months of spring Summer!!!!!!

Andy, the bay looks the bizz, nice to see some finer details, ie paint the throttle cable cover, and the fuel dampner.

Attention to detail is first class............Good man.

That just looks stunning Andy.

Fantasic job. I love what you have done with the wires etc

Cheers Matey. Hiding the wires just helps clean up the whole look of the engine bay and directs your eye to the curves of the plenum. Glad you appreciate it

Lol but no competition mate as Andy's is far nicer than mine as they detail is outstanding

Thank you Bigman, that means a lot from someone with an eye for detail such as your self.

Absolutely stunning. I hope mine looks somewhere near as good as yours when its done.

I'm sure it will mate, if you get stuck, give me a shout.

Just about to start in a week or too on my new car, havent bought the kit yet any suggestions or advice???

Craig

Hi Craig,

Lots of advice!! To start with though, I'd say get a corded drill, use of a bench or at least a WorkMate. A polishing kit from ebay, lots of wet and dry emery cloth, some of those sponge sanders. Cutting paste can be quite good.

I could go on for ever.

What have you got already?

Andy

That is gorgeous. Well done. Must've taken a lot of time and money to have such a nice bay.

Cheers Gibster.

Fuel Pressure Regulator was fairly easy to fit. It comes with a aluminium mounting plate which has a pre-drilled hole. this lines up nicely with one of the fuel filter bracket holes in the inner wing. Bolt it down and bend the bracket back slightly and your done. Compression fittings on the other hand are a precision job but not impossible if you follow the instructions carefully and use your head.

Once you have it plumbed in just run the engine and set to 3 bar (43psi) with the vac line disconnected, tighten the adjuster locking nut and re-connect the vac line.

Job done

If you want to buy one, this is where I got mine -http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150340018671&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1811wt_941

My pleasure matey.

The hose you get with the kit are a bit thin.

I would recommend you go to speedflow for hose and any spare compression fittings you may need. It's also where you will find a rather hand cut off valve (you can just see it hidden behind the regulator in my pics.

good luck,

Andy

fantastic job mate. Youve shamed me into sorting mine out now....
