Good Afternoon Gentle Folk,

I wonder if you can help with a quandary of mine!

My speedo quite often when its been / is raining will stay on 0 kph for a period of time determined by itself. sometimes 30 seconds or anything up to about 5 minutes. Obviously as it recording no speed the power steering doesnt kick in and it can be a pain to steer. It has happened a few times when its been dry but those occations are few and far between.

I have had the speedo off and resoldered all I can across the backboard and this did appear to work for a time. I was wondering if there is anything else that can cause this issue or whether its finally worth me upgrading to UK spec cluster.

Cheers as always,

Dave.

stick the dial face down. This happened to me then realised the face had a slight kink. Glued it and now all is fine.

if it`s only when it`s raining how about checking the wires attached to the sensor in the gearbox, maybe your`re getting a short.also uk speedos can suffer the same issues, generally it`s dry joints, had one on the chip itself which screwed things up only noticed with a big magnifyer.
