Anyone fitted steering rack spacers between the rack and inner tie rods to give more lock?

I'm looking into this on the supra as the stock steering lock is shite.

Just bought some new inner tie rods from ebay so I can mod them before they go on the car :)

Hi Alex,

You need a set of Tein tie rods with the spacers, the rod ends won't fit your 300ZX but the rods will and that'll give you about the maximum rack travel possible. :)

Along with ditching the standard restrictive locking plates that should improve matters, then you need to take a look at the stock lockstops on the lower arms. Cutting them down will also help improve your lock, the ideal solution is to cut them off all together then bolt or weld on thin steel plate of the exact thickness to limit lock before the tie rods go "over center". :)

If you need some advise on how to modify your arms, ask on DW, it's the same front end as R32 Skylines and the modifications for lock count for everything including 200SXs, so plenty of advise on there!

Cheers,
