My UK auto TT has been sleeping in my garage since January after breaking down one too many times! Next weekend I am going to fire her up, however this is the problem. last time I drove her after breaking down the engine kept cutting out, at the time I thought it was either a failed PTU or Wet MAF (Apexi!) so replaced the PTU with a working one, and disconnected the MAF, but the engine cuts out.

 

When she dies, you can start her up again no problem then 30 seconds later, it sounds like she is only running a a few cylinders then dies, there is no knocking, ect!

 

I have no consult or data scan about 150 miles from Zed World and the car is not drivable, any ideas?

More than likely a bad coil pack/coil pack connection or maybe the PTU? Mine did the same after standing.

 

Try some contact cleaner first on all the connections of the coilpacks/injectors and see what that does

or check for a boost leak as mine kept doing this but it was do to a boost pipe blowing off..
