I'm hopefully going to get my 99 spoiler fitted soon. Is that something I need to tell the insurance about, seeing as it's kind of stock? Guess the safe thing would be to ring them and explain what it is and see what they say. Have other people had to declare it as a mod?

i think it's safest to declare it, after all it is a modification from your car's spec. they would be a bit cheeky if they put up your premium though as it is just a stock item and wouldnt cost (much) more to replace than an aftermarket one.

Just rung the insurance now, cost me an extra £10 for the year, so I can't really moan too much.
