Ok so a change of plan has happened again.

I am fed up with not driving the car whilst I save up for engine rebuild and after not starting it for 3 months my new plan is:

*Fix leaking pipe at rear of engine and start driving around again

*Save up for manual gearbox in the meantime.

*once I have bought the manual gearbox then I will look at saving for engine rebuild and upgrade.

My existing problem is the one I have had since buying the car………. Unknown hesitation under full load at higher speeds of 60+.

When I get this mechanic to change pipes for me is there anything I can ask him to look at? Santa and I noticed that the wastegate seems to be unplugged wrong (or something like that). Other posters having hesitation problems or wastegate problems only mentioned that they could not get extended boost…. Mine seems to attempt this however when the fault occurs it simple judders for a second and then starts to build the boost up again…

Is this normal and what other things should I vigorously check this weekend?

I am desperate to nip this in the bud and have the car running standard for once in my ownership.

Done various tests and balance tests which showed fine and no one on the forums seems to know what is wrong (which can’t be helped as they havnt seen the car)

Please please please help me nip this in the bud once and for all… I am even prepared to travel if someone will look over my car (live in Essex) but this will be in 2 weeks (payday)

i looked at buying the AA homestart to get me there but i read its too far and will only take me to local garages :(

ok found a car transporter for £50 1 day. now i can't find anyone with a 4x4..... it's pathetic that i know nobody.

ok started car yesterday with santas help. took out pump fuse so car could not start and engine pumped a little oil around. Then put fuse back in and hey presto the car started.

battery was fine and even after 3 months had enouh power to start the car (considering i didn't unplug the bettery)

COUGH!!!! took it up my service lane a few times and car seems fine.. i have noticed though that when changing to second gear the car jumps almighty hard.....

Is this because i havn't driven it for a few months? There are no noises or grinding it is just not as smooth changing into second as it was previous to the 3 month driving gap.

Apart from that everything else is ok and used radweld (yuck) to get me there and the water stopped dripping, will be getting it flushed out after

thats good to hear that its getting their mate

i wouldnt worry about the second gear mate it should go when you use it abit,

so whens it going to see jeff (zedworld)?

26th matey :-)

be nice to get the water pipes sorted but the main thing for me really is to get the car running how a zed should as it never has in my onwership. Jeff would need to belt it on the motorway or A road to understand what i mean and get a feel for it as the car is slowish 0-60 but has nothing top end and you can feel the jerk where the engine stops pulling.

If Jeff can atleast get the jerk to stop and for the car to run how a zed should then ill be the happiest man alive and would sponser him to anyone because i have taken the car numerous places to no avail, Hell!!!! i would go as far as decalling the car with zedworld if the problem was fixed because i am that desperate!

I always worry that this problem will remain with me but i am severely hoping jeff can get this problem solved and show me how a zed should REALLY be :)

i will be sure to post how it went and i am sure i will be jumping with joy and if this works i will make sure my car goes nowhere else but jeff (no matter the distance)

Jeff Will get it sorted mate I have had mine their already and it's going back soon 2 have the cambelt and the last few things sorted out.

Let me know how it's goes!
