Ok so a change of plan has happened again.
I am fed up with not driving the car whilst I save up for engine rebuild and after not starting it for 3 months my new plan is:
*Fix leaking pipe at rear of engine and start driving around again
*Save up for manual gearbox in the meantime.
*once I have bought the manual gearbox then I will look at saving for engine rebuild and upgrade.
My existing problem is the one I have had since buying the car………. Unknown hesitation under full load at higher speeds of 60+.
When I get this mechanic to change pipes for me is there anything I can ask him to look at? Santa and I noticed that the wastegate seems to be unplugged wrong (or something like that). Other posters having hesitation problems or wastegate problems only mentioned that they could not get extended boost…. Mine seems to attempt this however when the fault occurs it simple judders for a second and then starts to build the boost up again…
Is this normal and what other things should I vigorously check this weekend?
I am desperate to nip this in the bud and have the car running standard for once in my ownership.
Done various tests and balance tests which showed fine and no one on the forums seems to know what is wrong (which can’t be helped as they havnt seen the car)
Please please please help me nip this in the bud once and for all… I am even prepared to travel if someone will look over my car (live in Essex) but this will be in 2 weeks (payday)
