Alright all,

Thought I'd pick the ZX brains and have a bit of a whinge! :nana2:

I've been looking for 3D artist jobs for the last year since I did my Masters in Computer Games Art, and have been doing admin since I (re) graduated. Now I don't have anything against doing admin but it's a bit gutting when I worked my arse off every day to get a distinction, and am now not using any of the skills I have and am stuck paying back £200 a month for the loan I took out so I could do the course in the first place!

Anyway, I've been concentrating on Environment Art jobs but I'm not having any luck there, I was wondering if anyone else can suggest areas\industries I may not know about or know how to get into which would let me use the same skills. I'm not looking for big money, I just want to make stuff in 3D!

Anyone got suggestions of job roles I should be searching for?

Naa, unfortunately not. Although I am considering picking them up (my Dad and brother are both into that side of things). It's more the creative side I'm into, so I'm using SoftImage XSI at the moment.

Maybe speak to Munny275. He was doing something similar. Whilst I think he's still at uni, he might have some ideas.

become an architect, that was my 2nd job of choice.lol.

But im sure you could do that

aye, I've thought about getting into architectural visualisation for a while. I think I'll have a look around the net to see how they advertise the jobs in that industry...
