I have a Cobra 7928 fitted, but the car has no Central locking. How much of a job is it to retro fit this. And does anyone know of a good place to buy the necessary.

Muchas Gracias

You should be able to get a central locking kit of e-bay should not be that expensive think i seen some on there when i was looking for door motors

That would do what you want, but are you sure your car doesn't have C/L? Be worth a look in the doors/fusebox etc before buying a kit.

Was C/L an option or should it have been as standard. It's a 1993 series 2

Im guessing standard but sure someone will confirm, mines central locking but i dont have it linked to the alarm

Motorguard are not bad and should have a local eng but will prob want to supply the kit 2

Adding the additional C/L lock motors is how the previous owner had connected the alarm on my car as well.

A much neater installation would be to break into the OEM wiring when connecting the alarm to the OEM C/L motor, BUT! It might be a lot easeier to just install an aftermarket kit to hook up to your alarm!

i agree with Dave, that would be best, mine has an added motor, but with the alarm i got i asked for the key to operate seperate, to the alarm so i lock with key then arm :)

Took the door panel off and identified that it did indeed have central locking, but the actuator seemed to be just hanging there.

Manufactured a bracket for it as there was no obvious place it bolted to (assumed it had some form of bracket in the past)

All working, just not off the key fob. I'm assuming it has either:

A: never been installed into the C/L

B: Something has blown

I've searched for a wiring diagram for the alarm to identify the feed, but no luck.

Does anyone know which wire it is, or have a wiring diagram. And does anyone know the best way to splice this into the C/L
