You can buy welding tips from Halfords, all you need then is an accurate boost gauge.

nowing my luck i would end up trying the absolute wrong ones and blowing my cylinder heads sky high !lol

cheers anyway

Look out at Harry's because they only sell the 0.8mm tips (in general) and that will give you a boost level in excess of 1.2bar. Different Zeds require different size tips to obtain equal boost (don't ask why) but to make a general statement tips of 1.2mm should give approx. 1bar of boost - the max you can safely run on stock config. You can get tips of varying sizes from a good welding company (MIG welding tips). I recently bought a pair of 1.2mm tips for 80p - must be the cheapest boost upgrade ever!

Just my 2p worth ...

So all you have to do is put new exhaust, induction kit & boost jets in & how much of a power gain would you get?

Don't you run the risk of detonation?

right piped up some mig welding jets today two of at 1mm and two of at 1.2mm

the 1.2mm are more bulkier than the 1mm ones

will the 1.2 still fit !???

and do they go directly just b4 the actuator???

all help apriciated

right that web page say's only use the high boost sparingly , what if i wanna put me fut down or do a long run at high speed (useing boost obviously)??????

Philly -

Provided that you do not exceed the maximum boost (including peek boost) that the stock turbos & injectors can handle, all you really need to worry about is detonation. I think it was Eric (Lymon) who previously posted that the absolute maximum boost the stock setup can safely handle is around 15psi. However, do not try and go beyond 14psi without upgrading the ECU (JWT or SE) - you stand to do some major damage to the engine internals if things go wrong.

So, in conclusion, there is no problem in putting your foot down or doing high speed runs. Just watch the conditions of your turbos and don't over do it on the boost - okay?!

All IMHO of course ...
