Im not so much a fan of the 280 and they are not very sought after. But I quite badly want a 240/260. I have to stop looking at them.

260Z slower than the 240

0 to 30 both the same

0 to 40 the 260 is quicker

Then after that the 240 is right through the range

Actual top mph figures from "The Z -Series Datsuns" by Ray Hutton

UK 240Z 125 Autocar May 1971 (same figures in Autosport Feb 1972)

UK 260Z 127 Motor May 1974 Same figures in Autosport Apr 1974)

UK 260Z 2+2 120 Autocar Aug 1974

Then after that the 240 is right through the range

Opps missed faster out and should read

"Then after that the 240 is faster right through the range"

Convert it to LHD,

And pray tell why you would want to import an imported rhd car from the States and then convert it to a left hooker over here :slap:

Oh and the last 240 i seen go on uk's ebay ~(not long ago) went for a little over £1000.00 and it needed ALLOT of work to say the least

I think that the general concensous is that if a Uk 240z has not had a recent £10k restoration rebuild then its a rustbucket in need of a £10k restoration.

Post more pics... :D

I had a 280zx on the rd, was a nice one with aftermarket wheels, as Legrath said they are not that sought after and erm not that quick

and although they look similar to a 280, 240/260's are in a different league imo
