Z31 looked good in the early 80's

 

The sad thing is the GTR is actually classed as part of the Skyline range not Z range.

We should not forget that the Z33 is not really a sucessor to the Z32tt, maybe a Z32 N/A...... the Z32tt was designed to be a Supercar to take on the best junior supercars of the world, 911, 928, 944turbo etc, the Z33 was designed as a mid priced coupe in the vein of the Audi tt, Porsche Boxter, Z3 etc and was priced accordingly, some would argue that it was more like a sucessor to the original Z, due to its affordability.

This makes the Z32tt THE Supercar Z, the ultimate Z so far and into the near future too. As for a daily driver my wife just summed it up when she said the Z32 ranked as her second best daily drives yet, and she does not really like driving even...........

So in reality the two are not comparable especially as a standard 20 year old Z32tt will still beat a 370Z on the road.

I'm guessing the monkey that think the Z33 is quicker for 1/4 mile are comparing it to the NA! LOL

 

I am starting to like the Z33 a lot more as of late, but even though they are both a Z car, they are both quite different and I'd drive both for different reasons.

 

But comparing a new car to one that's almost 20 years its junior is a bit pointless IMO. Bit like comparing a BBC Electron to an IMac

Which makes it all the more amazing that the Z32tt can still pulverise a Z34 proof if any that the two should not be compared.
