re-filling cooling system

hi guys,

iv just finished repairing my cooling system probs and iv filled the system up to check for leaks and all good!

 

but....

 

is there a way in which i should be filling up the cooling system so to stop any air locks etc?????

 

im guessing half fill it up, then continue filling with cap off and bleed screw off and while engine is started so to force air out, does this seem correct???
