Just bought myself one of these...

It's an Infra-Red Remote for the likes of RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, WinAmp, WinDVD , PowerDVD etc only cost me £1.21 brand new!

It'll be nice to be able to run my PC from my lounge, considering my PC is in the spare room! It does loads of functions of the PC all from the remote. So I can run my 10m DVi to HDMI cable to my TV along with a new TOSlink cable and my new TOSlink out adaptor for my Motherboard and can sit back and watch all of my PC's content on the TV, along with surfing the net.

Now I know this isn't exactly new technology, but it'll improve things for myself anyway :D

Sorry to bring an old thread up but is there anyway of getting these to work with VLC player? Or are there any that will work with VLC?

I would say that using the center button (mouse) you could control the buttons on VLC player. Not too sure as I don't use mine as I found that my Xbox was so much better and went that route in the end.

Hello bud,

You're aboslutely right, can use the mouse and left/right button but would like to use proper controls if it was possible
