need network help badly

me and my brothers all have xbox live 4 of us but we cant play together most of the time, i have narrowed it down to its one of our routers blocking us out if we turn the router firewalls off its fine. so im tring to let there xboxes past my firewall and vise versa but dont know how too. i asked for there ip address off there xbox but its 192.168.1.1 thats the same as loads of peoples so cant be right we have had too put up with this crap for years and im so pi55ed off with it. help please:headvswal:headvswal

    I had a similar problem connecting with my mates on Live. I got around this issue by giving my XBOX a fixd IP address, then entering this address into the DMZ section of my Router settings. This basically lets the XBOX bypass the firewall.

     

    I would suggest you try that, and get your brothers to do the same.

     

    The address 192.168.1.1 is the address for your router gateway on your network, not the XBOX. Most router manufacturers use this address for admin etc.

    thats what i have just done thanks i think we have a few issues and that was one of them the other is my one brother has 2 xboxes in one house and from what i have read they are conflicting so thats the only problem to sort now
