A very interesting site

I am not sure that this is the best place for this especially as it is not strictly Zed related, but it will be of interest to Zed owners who have little or no knowledge of car mechanicals and workings. This site really explains very simply about engines and tuning, it explains what can be done and what cannot be done, the latter could save you a lot of money. See what you think, the guy is obviously very knowledgeable. Apologies if this has been posted before.

:rofl:

small list of un cool, sad things follows:

Big oversized tailpipe attachments! Usually fitted to a pea shooter exhaust pipe on a small front wheel drive woman's grocery getter...

Twin tailpipes fitted to the same sad fwd cars...

Huge heavy, overpowered in car entertainment systems. I like some music with my base!

Wings... On small hatchbacks

badges from bigger engines on novas, astras, micras etc

huge wheels fitted to cars that are not lowered with small brakes.

Blacked out window tint film badly applied.

Wire mesh instead of the nice neat factory grills

farty sounding big bore exhausts fitted to underpowered tiny standard engines in novas, micras etc.

It was more for the engine and tuning basic info of what you can or cannot achieve with turbo and non turbo, in relation to chips. By the way you missed a few things out like;

fitting squidgey blow off valves,

wheel spacers,

strapping aluminium plates to your brake pedals,

Chipping your ECU and keeping standard brakes

fitting Irish plates
