i have a weekend i the house this week, not going out and fancy a nice dvd and a nice curry or chow mein and a few stella's or glasses of fine wine

 

just wondered if any had any dvd reccomendations??, i like no brainer action films, ive seen most of the latest films and i must say some were shite, watchmen was a load of crap

Not action, but THE HANGOVER is a good comedy.

why?

its a couple of years old, but Vantage Point is really good!

says it all bud lol, ive had so called good copies and they have ruined a good nite by being shite, so now unless its copied from an original rather than a download i will not bother watching as its such a let down when they are crap copies

No brainer action film has to be Crank 2 if you've not all ready seen it, a similar film a while ago was Shoot Em up.

I know what you mean about bad copies, and I agree entierly, but I do them for myself from downloads so I have two criterier, 1) must be minimum R5 DVD quality and 2) must have 5.1 surround sound or it's just not worth it.

i had that film on divx somewhere think i gave it away to someone at one point

So if I bought one of these could I go to say lovefilm, download a HD film to my laptop, put it on a usb memory stick and play it through this?

you'd have to convert the bluray/hd disc to mkv ....its a long process,,,you lose quality as blu ray disc is about 30gigs....most dodgy files are 4-16 gigs....the quality is still stunning though.....you can use the usb memory stick as long as its in the ntsc file format,as fat32 only has a max file size of 4gb...
