have had condensation here for some time. decided to have a look & after dismantling I find that the condensation is actually inside the lenses i.e. the lenses are 'double glazed' & the condensation is in the gap. Will put in a warmish oven to dry out (hopefully).

 

How do I stop this recurring? anyone had same problem?

No ideas on this one?

How about getting one of those small silicone gel packs you get in parcels etc and somehow placing it in the lens area out of sight.

 

As you said the condensation is in the gap, but if condensation can get in, it can come out.

 

Now, remember, i know nothing about the construction of these lights so it may not be possible to do.

thanks for that,Ric. Have taken up your suggestion. there is room to stuff several silica gel packs around the lens assembly. let's hope it works.

the outer lense of the panel is a single layer of clear perspex, if you have condensation in there, this is because moisture is entering around the edge, usually an area where the glue has gone. Rain / car washing will make it steam up. you need to dry it out, remove the panel from the car, then remove the light holders, (held in with a single screw)

Then leave out in the sun for a few hours, should dry up, if not the panel needs to be sperated, there are 4 x tiny screws along top edge, use a hairdryer to break the black glue. Becomes plyible when warm.

Once open, dry with hairdryer, and try and remove as much black crap as you can. When sealing back together i used some Black bathroom silicone.

Mkaes it easier to split if you need to seprate again.
