hi all, after fixing my gear problem i was presented with 2 new ones today, when approaching work the revs were surging themselves giving me erratic kangaroo driving, only lasted around 5 mins then cleared?

tps sensor or icv?...

secondly on arriving home from work, when i got out car i noticed a water leak, appears to be coming from the bottom of the neck of the coolant plastic filler pipe?this pipe with the yellow cap appears to move/rotate slightly, only lost around 1 cupfull of rusty looking water..then it stopped?

any ideas.. many thanks

I reckon the erratic running might be the TPS connector, wriggle around when running to see if the revs vary, clean it up anyway it can only improve the contact there. The filler tube has an 'O' ring where it enters the expansion tank, either this is missing or just shrunk with age. It does not usually leak through here though unless it is over full. If the car was overheating slightly, this could cause both of your problems. Make sure your electric fan is functioning ( with the engine running remove the connector on the lefthand sensor fitted in the aluminium pipe coming out of the front of the engine, the fan should immediately start)
