Sounds stupid, but been every where today trying to track down a litre of oil !

 

Its a gear oil, fully synthetic 75/140. Castrol and Lucas both do it, but nowhere has it. I realise its unusual, but it aint unavailable , surely ?

 

Ebay does it, but the seller is away until 25th August and I need it kinda sharpish. One shop said they could get it, but the minimum order was 12 one litre bottles !!:slap:

 

Anybody able to help here ?

Why do I always overlook the obvious ?

 

Will contact them Monday and hopefully they can arrange a quick delivery.

I have a meet next weekend and its a few miles away, so as the level in the diff is a wee tadge low, just want to be sure.

Quite funny when I walked in to Halfords today and asked if they could order me the above oil.

"Have you checked our shelves sir ?"

 

"No, dont need to as you wont have it, can you order it ?"

 

"Lets have a look at the shelves sir. Ah, we dont have it, let me check.

Sorry, we cant help. We can only order "normal" oil and that stuff isnt normal !!" :xxx::xxx:

 

I came out the shop grumbling to myself and my wife remarked,

"So then Victor Meldrew, no joy, eh ??" I am getting old.
