oh really thats a shame wanted to dress it up and make it look fancy adding a few more pics than the allowed 10 with links.

you can still insert extra pics with tags, just need to host them elsewehre (eg. photobucket) , and can still add all the text formatting.

Allowing html code is too much of a risk on an open forum. Very easy to break the display of the entire page.

It's a shame, because you used to be able to do that here, and I'd just set mine all up with a nice fadded out background picture...... and then they went and changed it all :( lol

I didnt do it on purpose Dave, but we didnt have much of a choice unfortunately. We badly needed to upgrade the forum software at the time and the old Rides system was incompatible because the developer had given up supporting it.

The new rides system I found was very similar and the others I looked at just sucked to be honest. Only problem was this one didnt allow html code. I did however spend most of the weekend converting everyone's rides from the old system to the new system so 99% of members didnt need to start it from scratch again.

Sorry guys but it was this or no rides at all.

I'm only messing bud ;)

It was one of those typical situations, I'd only just discovered how to do it, then you changed it
