Hi, Anyone know where the best place to get a temporary insurance cover for my 300zx vert??

I have classic on my z32 TT and they dont do temp cover,

and commercial on my van, so dont do temp also

I just want to insure my new vert for a month or so, whilst the summer is still with us, and then do her up over winter!

I`ve tried tinternet and costing about £200 for 28day`s, a bit steep i thought, considering i only pay £197 full comp for my TT?

Thanks Daz.

Can't you take out another classic policy and cancel it after a month?

Could be an idea!! :nana2: but my last one they made me pay up front, still only £197 though

cheers .Daz

Most companies should if you already have a policy with them.

I'm with Lynbrooks for my 300zx; I have recently bought another ZX and transferred the policy over to the new car. However until I sold the old one, I wanted that insured also - just in case something happened to it or if I wanted to take a potential buyer on a test drive.

So they covered the old car as an additional temporary vehicle for 14 days (although that was extendable) for only £25.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

They'll always take the money up front but normally offer a refund for some of the amount. Ask em.

I have used ecar on a few cars now. I used the 'pay as you go' policy. It automatically re-new's each month, unless you cancel the policy, which is easy to do, and you can cancel it to end after the first month. They also do a 28 day policy, but I think you would pay more with this.

Worth getting a quote on both policies.
