Just put the calibra through an MOT, which it failed!

But when I picked it up the Engine light was on and it was really struggling to start and it is in limp mode.

I had replaced the Lambda sensor and the cam sensor and cleared the faults before the mot it all was well, I did notice when I pulled up at the mot station that it was smoking again at the rear which had stopped after I fitted the Lambda sensor.

Please help as I wanted to go away in it tomorrow if I can get it through the MOT

all checked, should there be a noticeable change when the maf sensor is disconnected?

Yeah, it'll chug and pop. Disconnect and reconnect. See what happens. Ecotecs were notorious for sensor failures.

i was told to pour boiling water over the wire in the maf to clean it, but im dubious to try that lol
