tyre size

i want to keep my original jap spc rims but would like to put wider 235 tyres on the rear, i can only get toyos in 235 50 16 but i have 225 45 16 toyos on the front. is this ok or will it mess any thing up? thanks nick

    I believe usually as you go wider you are supposed to bring your profile down to keep the rolling diameter the same.

     

    I'm sure someone who knows more will be along shortly tho.

    Really isn't worth it. Just get UK wheels (which look 4.5 million times better). You'll get more tyre roll putting wider tyres on skinny wheels.
