I have an alpine 4 way in at moment but just got this(Audio System twister Series f4 380) and need to know how to connect this(if I need too): +Cap

 

and the voltage setting for phono inputs from my head unit(is this the same as GAIN on a normal amp?)

what Headunit you got mate? we can find out online most likely what the rca output voltage is.

 

Seems that all the top HU's have 4volt preouts as this means less interference on the audio signal.

erm the headunit is a sony cdx-f7500 I've looked on a pdf manual and can't see bugger all on there to do with pre out voltages suppose I could stick a multi meter on the phono's from the amp if I can find the piggin thing

I am excited to get this fitted but am stuck at moment

the +12 is ok to connect up to a battery with out a cap.the cap terminal is directly connected to each other like a piggy back......and the voltage control is your gains..you should keep them at lowest point if you can adjust from your headiunit,.....lee

cheers for that so keep them at their lowest voltage setting of 0.17v then?
