Silly question I know but wots the mileage lifespan of a standard nissan clutch.

For the past few days mine has been slipping at about 4k to 5k rpm.

Mine was fitted 15k miles ago. Have been forced to turn boost down to 6psi by plugging boost jets, normally run at 12psi.

I guess I was on the limit of standard clutch with the modifications I have got.

I just wondered how long they usually last.

Check out my website for full spec on my car.

Yup..that's a limitation of the stock Nissan clutch.

It just wasn't made to hold over 350bhp.

Mine lasted a week after I turned up the boost to 16psi..LOL

So..time to get an aftermarket clutch.

JWT, ACT or Cyclone are the most popular ones.

mine went in for clutch last week. old one was original nissan part lasted 40,000 miles but all depends on style of driving.

well lack300 if your driving is anything to go by it should only last you about 4000 not 40000???????????and besides the size of your rear tyres there is no way the tyres will spin before the clutch?

I have a '91 TT Auto and I'm thinking of upgrading the ECU and removing the Cats.

Already have a K&N intake and Super Drager.

Will the 'box take the power?

Chris, I'm not sure if you already have done so, but I suggest you get a seperate and bigger oil-cooler for the auto-transmission first.

And then install the ECU and test/downpipes.
