I've tested a couple of Jap imports in the last week or two (got nicked for speeding in one of 'em, but thats another story
) and both the dealers were saying that the cars didn't come with the logbook and that it was rare to find a car that did. This seems kinda stoopid to me cos every other car I have ever bought in the UK came with some proof of history and therefore proof of mileage etc. Does anyone know what the score is with this? I am paranoid that they are all thrashed and neglected and have had 1/2 the mileage taken off 'em!
Cheers,
-Stu
