Had the Z stood for a while and when I started it there's a slight knock from the top end. Can't hear it other than on tickover. Not really loud, thought it was a dry cam lobe but it is still doing it?.

Any ideas.

Drive it, that's a cure. If they've been stood for a while, fluid drains out of the lifters and it takes time and pressure to pump them back to tolerance. An oil flush in many cases causes the problem to go. There are also a detergents (flushes) which you can use just before oil change. TBH, I don't trust flushes. Oil itself has a certain amount of detergents and with enough regular oil changes, you should hope to see the noise vanish completely.
