Driving in the rain, turned a corner in second, put my foot down and whoosh! The car slid 90 degrees before I had to wrench it straight again! Scary to say the least and I think the car behind me was absolutely terrified.
The car's a NA, I've been moaning about lack of power and the tyres have lots of tread. Is this normal? Does the car have any form of anti-skid/spin?
My rear shocks are due to be changed shortly as they are finished; would they 'help' the car to spin/slide?
The only reason I ask is that I have driven more powerful cars in the past of a similar configuration (RWD, Manual, over 230bhp) and never had it slide so easily, even in the rain.
It was fun though, if a little scary! I have to say that I tootled home after that...
