swapping parts?

Will the cruise control linkage (see pic) from an '89 jdm TT work ok in a '93 uk? They look identical but the jdm has 9YG on it and the UK has 36T, apart from that the part numbers are the same. I was wondering if it would cause any issues with the ecu etc.. Both are fully working but the uk one is pretty tatty, hence the reason for the swap.
