cheers dave - I assume it's talks with Z1, not the Twinz as they are a nightmare to get ahold of, but if just by chance... please try and get some info on the 2+2. thanks again. :)

I did contact Z1 and Twinz, but only got a reply back from Z1.

 

I enquired about the price of 5 units, and estimated shipping cost of 5 units on a Pallet to a single UK address would be $1800.

 

Takeing into account the $724 Bumper price, your looking at an Individual total price of $1084 ....about £700 each, which with Further UK shipping to individual addresses plus Import tax & vat, your looking at a final price of approx £850 each

 

I was going to follow this up with a potential group buy, but I've decided not to go ahead with a purchase myself at this time, so Im offering up the information in case anybody else wants to continue it.

 

Z1 are looking for $100 deposits by April 15th. It will be 8-12 weeks before Z1 receive the bumpers when final payment is due.

It looks stunning, so yeah i would, considering a. its the genuine article, b. its rather big and is being shipped over. + its one of the nicest rear bumpers iv seen for the 300

I wouldnt hold your breath for a 2+2 version. I am almost positive there are only 3 Z32s left in Peru, and the twins own 2 of them, and used to own the third. All of them being 2seaters IIRC, so they dont even have a 2+2 to work with even if they wanted to.

If any SWB owners are going ahead with the purchase then you only have a few more days to pay Z1 your deposit.

Z1 is working with the TwinZ Peru (TwinZ Design) on making their new rear bumpers / diffusers available to customers here in North America. At this stage we are trying to determine the demand for these products. This is quite a large investment of both time and money, in order to make this happen we need to know just how much serious interest there is in these products, the pricing and ordering details are below.

 

TwinZ Type I rear bumper $498.00 USD + Shipping

TwinZ Type II rear bumper W/ diffuser $724.00 + Shipping

(Shipping estimated at $140-$180 within the continental U.S.)

 

These will only be available through pre-order. If there is enough interest shown, we will take $100 deposits until April 15th. If we have enough orders at that point, we will proceed and import a large shipment of bumpers. At that point it will be 8-12 weeks before we receive the bumpers at Z1. Final payment will be due before we ship the bumpers out to customers who have pre-ordered and paid the $100 deposit.

 

We want to be clear that the time frame between making the initial deposit and customers receiving the bumpers will be 3-5 months. The $100 deposits will not be refundable during this time frame. These are special order items and there will be no refunds because of the wait. In the event that we do not receive enough pre-orders to proceed with the import, we will of course refund all the deposits the third week in April.

Any idea on the current pre-order numbers Dave? - They needed 25.. they should have that now surely!?

Latest is that they have the pre-orders to go ahead with it.

They said on twinturbo.net yesterday that they are "definitely going to make a 2+2 version".
