I'm assuming it's the MK1 as my Mk2 has a button next to the boot lid

mine has the button too but it doesn't do anything and it is a mkII R reg

I would have suggested taking out the fuse for the central locking for 10 seconds then putting it back in as that would reset everything and unlock. But it sounds as though the boot is disconnected from the system.

If it were me I'd try to get to the seat dropping mechanism with a screwdriver as it's at the top of the rear seat. You may be able to force the catch along and drop the seat

got in through the back seat!! had to get the crowbar in there then manage to pull release cable.

but also i was helping uno to get tie bars off as well and made the coffee so not as bad as it sounds.

although i have a sore head where the crowbar slipped and a squished finger as well!!

glad you got in, in the end mark....i was thinking i should come back tonite with the 5ft workmans chisel and make short work of that seat clamp :D

believe it or not chris it didnt need the seat bending like i did lol:forl:

once you pull up the covering in the window you can just push on the cable and release the seat:slap::slap:

guess i need to straighten the seat back out now:smash::smash:

thanx for your help though mate
