Does anyone know the max size/dimensions of each of these that our cars can take without the need for modification to fit? Having had the engine rebuilt I was considering some bigger coolers/smics but not sure whats the biggest I can go.

 

Any you have experience with would be appreciated too!

I got a set of PACE SMIC's. Fit straight in with no problem at all but i believe they can be quite expensive brand new (I got mine second hand!)

Pretty sure MAC1 and a few others are running them too.

I heard PACE were the choice for most but as you say they do seem to be pretty pricey. I've been scouring ebay, etc..but nothing has come up yet...

Im pretty sure Legrath has posted a chart somewhere with stock dimensions compared to the different aftermarket intercoolers.

I did have a quick squiz at that earlier on...

I would'nt go any larger than a 19row 235mm wide oil cooler. Its the same size Nissan fitted for the UK models and market as a Nismo cooler. Any larger and you would start to restrict airflow to the main radiators.

 

As for Intercoolers, larger is'nt always better, however the godspeeds are very good value for money, significantly cheaper than all others and fitment issues dont seem to be a big issue. If you wanted to spend a little more and not havign any fitment issues then the Z1 Smic's are also very good value for money and have a good reputation.

Yeh, you will already have the bigger oilcooler, so just some big Intercoolers instead then :D
