Well my car is nearly all sorted and just waiting now on the brake master cylinder to have it spot on again! then will be up for sale (some time thru the week) now my thing is.. I would love the car to stay with a member of the zed club coz I know it would be well looked after and all that but as I live in Northern Ireland that might be a problem for the members coz most of yous are all based in England so my question is, is there any point putting a for sale add in the club or go straight to auto trader/pistonheads etc..?

prob ebay id say. I had my old custom megane cabrio for sale on pistionheads, gumtree etc for about 10 months with just a bunch of time wasters (bar a couple serious interested buyers)

 

The minute i put my car on ebay it sold within a week. had like 160+ watchers on it, alot of interest and i got pretty much what i wanted for it.

 

.... strangely i got some very serious buyers trying to import the car from malta for some odd reason.....

My problem with Ebay is the price they go for :(

I've put loads of money and hard work into this car and I know I wont be getting that money back but dont want to give it for nothing either.

i know what you mean with e bay , but i think people expect to see the good with the bad as such when looking for cars etc

 

just make sure the add is worded well etc and listed at a realistic but coverable price considering what you've spent, does the car need anything ? i'm not talking major just little things hear or there ?

just list every single last detail about the car. upload any documents, history with the car etc.

needs a spoiler for sure and i already bought a high level spoiler for her but wont be painting it,goes with the car obviously :) theres the bubble paint here and there but not that many either its in pretty goog nick after all the work i've put in it,you should have seen her when i first bought it... lol

be honest mate, ive spent an absolute fortune on mine and im getting 2k for it lol, if you want rid quick price it to sell mate

Spoiler can be listed as a typical issue on the ad as it's a common fault with the original spoiler at this age so wouldn’t worry excessively about that :),

Would sell it for 2k for a club member but for all the other adds £2500 would be my goal.

If you put it on ebay make sure you put the price you want for it, if it goes for more that's great, if it does not sell for that, reassess the price.
