I got a 300ZX back in January (as I posted about before). I knew it was a risk, that there were likely to be issues with it. In the end, I decided to only do the minimal work on it to keep it ticking over as long as possible (fixed some leaks, put some new tyres on it) & enjoy it while it still worked. Well, the other week, on the way up to Shrewsbury (from Cardiff), it gave up on the A49 near Hereford, where it was taken on the back of a lorry to be looked at. The garage has finally been able to take a look at it & it's effectively dead. To do any work on it, even before getting it to a repaired state, is going to be more than I'm prepared to spend on it. It's likely to be a head gasket that's gone. I'm going to have to pay to get it back to Cardiff - but if anyone is interested in a car which can be used for parts, or wants a project, drop me a line.
